Gardeners will likely always need to water their crops during the extra dry periods of summer, and it's looking like it will be another dry summer with temperature records being beaten already in early July 2023.

In this sound library I have recorded a motorised well with a contact mic placed on the pipe that goes about 18feet deep into the ground. Water can be heard as it is sucked up through the metal pipe by the strong electric motor. There's also a lot of mid to high frequency motor noise, bass rumble, and watery goodness.

I first had to get the well working. This involved topping it up with water to help the suction.
